  • Plucker for the Palm

I found a fantastic application called Plucker that actually saves web pages in a format that can be viewed offline on a Palm PDA.

Naturally I went straight to archive.org and grabbed an old copy of Geocities.

  • Added new Applications to the Palm III

The Palm hotsync cable arrived yesterday and I was able to use Palm Desktop to add a few new applications. Now my PDA can simulate dice rolls, play a few games, and display a little pet fish. All very important tasks.

  • Palm Desktop

I have Palm Desktop installed on my Windows Me machine. The hotsync cable should be here tomorrow and I can get started customizing my Palm III!

  • The Mothman Candle Holder

Made some candle holders with the young niece and nephew. Naturally, I made Mothman.

  • Palm III

I’ve been messing around with a Palm III PDA to see if I can make it useful enough to carry around daily.

The calendar and address book are great for default programs. Still learning graffiti input and I mostly rely on the touch keyboard.

I have an order for a hotsync cable that should be delivered in about a week, then I can start installing some new software. Probably going to start with games.

  • Milwaukee Zoo Lights

Went to see the lights at the Milwaukee Zoo.

  • The World Has Lost Adam The Woo

According to many sources in the YouTube community, YouTuber Adam The Woo has passed away.

I’ve followed Adam’s adventures for years and his channel was amongst my most frequently watched. This is absolutely heartbreaking.

Adam touched a lot of lives and will be greatly missed.

  • Readme Files

One of my obscure hobbies is collecting readme files from old software. I even have a website for it.

It’s an interesting glimpse into the past of software development.

  • Moved Back to Wisconsin

I first moved from the UK to Wisconsin in 2007. In 2009 I moved to the West cost and now, after fifteen years, I’ve moved back.

The reasons were mostly family-related. My wife and I have family here in Wisconsin that we didn’t have in Oregon. We’ve already been able to take part in a lot of family activities and outings that we were missing out on before.

We bought a 95-year-old house that has a unique charm, but also a bunch of expensive problems that we’re working through.

I still have to get used to the snow again.
